Since 2021, The Indonesian Anime Times has been marking the end of the year by sharing the staff members’ favorite anime, characters, and music of the year on social media. Blogging may feel quaint these days. However, I've been thinking that there is a merit to having a personal space to let out the contents of my mind. Just having them pile up in the mind is a burden. I hope to relieve that burden to some extent by writing them out. Of course, I also do writing and editing stuff at KAORI, especially its English division The Indonesian Anime Times . But KAORI/IAT as information outlets need to provide responsible services to the interests of their readers. They can't be beholden to just the whims of their writers. Thus, I consider it would be healthier to have my own space to put out stuff that are too personal in character to suit KAORI/IAT's missions to the public. Needless to say, the things I put here do not reflect the views and opinions of KAORI/IAT. Though, I do might refer to or promote articles from there as I see fit. My major plan for this blog is to make a series of memoirs of my personal history with Japanese entertainment media....
